Cairo airport is comparatively larger than that of Athens, both in size and in disorderliness. The main attraction of this ancient country, obviously, is PYRAMID. We visited a site where stood a few of them, and a Sphinx statue. Simply majestic! The feeling I had at the site of Naos Poseidous was awesome, while at the foot of Pyramid I was speechless! Tremendous amount of archeological research work had been carried out on this huge man made(or is it!?) object. Do I need to add more? Surely Discovery channel and National Geography and the likes have provided in great detail. But how far we have understood about Pyramid? With great respect I looked up at the largest one and my mind was filled with many unanswered questions. I couldn’t help but marveled, like many others did, at the ingenuity of its builder. Four thousand over years ago, at this primitive location, what amount of labor and financial cost were utilized to construct it? How many years of hard labor and human lives were required? An archeologist made a simple estimation: assuming the time of construction was 4700 years ago, 20 years nonstop of 100,000 tough laborers! Putting aside confronting the problems involved, the work efficiency required, planning and the tremendous financial cost involved, how did the Egyptians transport the huge stones from source/production? What device/s were used to move these heavy stones so high up? We did not observe any “seam” between the rocks! A scientific researcher of Pyramid has exclaimed that even the present day technology would need to sort out astronomical amount of data and mathematics before even seriously begin this construction task. Adding to this mystery is a recent shocking remark of a geologist: he predicted the construction time to be 10,000 years ago!?

Naous Poseidous 2
At the time of 5th
century BC, life was quite primitive in terms of physical entities. Yet, the glamour
of their civilizations glittered in the dark sky at various parts of the earth,
shinning down on mortal being like us. Such unparalleled glory is way beyond
our reach, only to look up, admiring with great respect, with awe.Approaching the pillars, quite a number of them, all transcended from the time when people of great wisdom lived, taught, and left behind philosophy of all time and for all mankind.
The many inscription on the pillars drew my interest. Looking closer, I noticed they were names of earlier visitors. These were the admirers of Greek ancient civilization, who came from various parts of the world. I had the urge of curving mine on one and you know….. many centuries later someone may notice and mentioned about me! LOL:lol: (forgive me….). No, I won’t. This would amount to destroying the legacy of a great civilization. And the guard on duty was having a watchful eye on anyone that showed sign of going beyond the rope surrounding the place anyway.
But wait, didn’t I
read somewhere about a name on the pillar……….. Yes, he should had been here,
hundreds of years ago, because he was another admirer of Greek civilization,
and he even died for Greece. This place, Naous Poseidous! How could I
forget about this?! Hurriedly I scanned for the name. Too many, too small to be
seen clearly. Forgive me Greece, I had to. I would considered it a visit
incomplete if I had not witnessed his name on this pillar. With a trick and
cooperation of friends, I managed to get nearer to the pillars. After a quick
search in vain, I decided to try my luck at one with most curving on it. No
easy task but I was determined.
To my pleasant
surprise, I found it!!!! Right at the bottom. A
hand inscribed name of “ Byron” . This must be him, George Gordon Byron , the
famous British poet who wrote “Don Juan” and other great poems. I consider him,
beside his great poetic works, a man of integrity and noble personality. He was
a person who stood up for justice, in words and in action. Among his noble
works, was his devotion to fight for Greece when the it was threaten by the
Turkey( Ottoman?) invasion. This man sold a large portion of his own fortune(
from a comfortable noble class life in England), and organized his own
army/fleet to help Greece in the battle, in the name of protecting the
sovereign autonomy of Greece.
I believed his love
for Greek civilization was another element that inspired his devotion for
Greece. In his work ”Don Juan”, was a Greek man grieving for the downfall of
his glamorous nation, singing and strumming a musical instrument. The poem
would instill deep sadness into anyone who studied it. Lord Byron must had
looked upon himself as a strumming guitarist, lonely and solemnly he came to
pay respect at this awesome ocean site, left his name here.
About 90 over years ago, another great scholar of China translated the grieving passage in Don Juan, into a Chinese poem. He wrote “For Greece I felt immense sorrow, and for Greece I wept deeply! “( forgive my poor translation.) This was actually cross comparison of different cultures of mankind. Although they were separated by centuries of time and space, these scholars had common view of their times.

A great civilization is not to be assessed by
means of the political might of the nation. Greece had contributed mightily to
mankind. Positioning its culture alongside the narrow mindedness of the
contemporary politic not only had downgraded the great culture of mankind, but
also of mankind ourselves .
A satisfactory day! Time to go to the nearest town, hopefully to get a good resting place, and to email the record of my traveling.

clogged emotion - defense mechanism
I feel the urge to share. This had been suppressed in me, for if it was revealed, someone might get hurt and this was not what I wanted. I have an understanding from the recent US campus/school shoot out tragedy, so I decided to lay my thoughts here.
Psychology experts have again analysed the tragedy and traced the cause to unhappy past of the individual concerned. The dark moment in life and the associated pain often leads one to violent outburst and resort to hurting or even killing others just to release the long congested emotion.
The same hidden emotion actually is hidden in many, including people around us. Fortunately, their cases are not so corrosive but the ill emotion lead them to negative behavior in daily life: such as constant suspicion about others, spying on others( secretly looking at others' belongings in their office drawers, reading documents without permission on other people desks, staying behind people's back to look at pass word typed in computer),spreading rumors among colleagues to create hostility etc. The end result might not be hazardous, but often brings about unhealthy working environment, and ugly relationship. In the end, the damage is inflicted to the whole environment, especially the negative behavior is ignored by higher level who choose to accommodate the abnormality of individual.

She just wanted to salvage a rotten egg
From the very beginning, she wanted to curtail my stage set. As reflected during the first meeting, in which she praised about her member's program even nothing was done yet. So I decided to discontinue developing my idea. I knew my set would be curtailed and blocked with some senseless quaking, just as she did to my table tennis activities.
Her motive was to restore some plight for her member, that had already gone down into the drain, due to incompetency.

Stage performance is, to me, established from innovation and artistic aptitude and talent. To copy and claim glory from others is a shame, especially at our age when anything is recoverable from the web. It is highly astonishing one even publicly duplicates from web and acts as if one's own innovation, and to be proud from it. Childish and unexposed? You judge.

To remain as He want me
Resisting the change from what I should be, in order to serve Him faithfully.
Surprisingly hard, as i thought this was just a simple ministry, requiring little physical and mental effort. Wrong I was! Power from the other side is around, daily interrupting and even causing damages in the work. Father is always with me though, as experienced daily. Steadfast and diligent shall I be, in His guidance and glory!

Gem among us.
The richness and depth of an individual's personality is commonly neglected by many, but is noticed easily by those who value virtues.
There is a lady who continues to work, as a street cleaner, at the age of 68. She claims she enjoys the task that keeps the street clean every day for other citizens convenience. A simple and down to earth ambition. But what makes her great is: She has been saving all her years of monthly meager salary, and regularly donated to pay for those children whom she has never met, but who cannot effort to have education at higher level of institution. And her home is only furnished with worn wooden chair and made shift desk made from wood pieces she collected from the thrown away.
These people are the gems of our society.
" With all lowliness and meekness, with long suffering, forbearing one another in love;"
Ephesians 4:2
"Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. 17 But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him? 18 My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth."
1 John 3: 16-18
